At the end of 2009, 10,852 FDI projects from 65 countries and regions had been approved in Zhuhai, with the actual utilized foreign investment reaching USD 11.525 billion. Over 30 out of the Fortune 500 corporations have invested in Zhuhai, including Flextronics (US), Canon (Japan), Panasonics (Japan), Bosch (Germany), Philips (Netherlands), BP (UK), Shell (UK-Netherlands) and China　National　Offshore　Oil　Corp. (CNOOC).
