Zhang Jianwei, Deputy Director of China Automotive Technology &Research Center (CATARC), Li Zanfeng, President of the Planning and Design Institute and Wang Jinqian, head of the Planning and Investment Consultation Department visited Zhuhai on January 31st. Accompanied by Director Chen Guangjun from ZHBIP and other officials, the visitors toured Gaolan Port Economic Zone, Fushan Industrial Park and Hengqin New Area, offering valuable advice on the auto development in Zhuhai.

In a bid to stimulate the auto industry in the city, the Zhuhai Government is to ask CATARC to draft the "Mid- and Long-term Development Plan for the Auto Industry in Zhuhai". Affiliated to SASAC, CATARC assists the government in such activities as auto standard and technical regulation formulating, product certification testing, quality system certification, industry planning and policy research, information service and common technology research.
