The Planning Committee for Zhuhai China Resource (CR) Heat and Power Plant was officially launched in Doumen Disctrict on February 2. Deputy party chief Qian Fangli, vice mayor Chen Honghui and vice president of China Resources Power Holdings Company Ltd (CR Power) Bu Fansen were present at the opening ceremony.

The project invested by CR Power in Fushan Industrial Park, Doumen will cost RMB 3 billion and consist of two 300MW coal-fired heat and power co-generation units and a 5,000 tonnage coal terminal. By centralizing the heat and power supply, the facility will improve the utility structure of the industrial park, hence reduce the production cost for investors.

Bu claimed the CR operation would produce zero emission and cause minimal negative effect to the environment.
