So far, there are over 70 biomedical enterprises in Sanzao Science and Technology Industrial Park, involving biology engineering, medical appliance, pharmaceuticals, medicine marketing and after-sales and nearly 10,000 professionals.

Accommodating domestically renowned brands like United Laboratories, KDL Medical Equipment, By-health, the park is the largest and most mature biomedical cluster in Zhuhai. It has won honours including "Guangdong Provincial (Sanzao Biomedical) Technology Innovation Specialized Town", "Zhuhai Sanzao Biomedical Cluster Upgrading Demonstration Zone" and "Biomedical Industrial Base of Guangdong Provincial Torch Plan". In 2009, the gross output value for biomedicine reached 6.04 billion yuan, accounting for 30% of the total industrial output in Sanzao Town and 50% of that over the entire city.
